The White horse Bicester is closely coming to the end of its second succesful in-house singles league. The league started with 16 players where everyone played each other once. After everyone played each other once the top eight qualify for the quarter finals. With first playing eigth, second playing seventh and so on in the quarter final. The final rounds will be over in the next few weeks and so the new season will start early september. The league is played for cash with the rules below in an earlier post. It is played on a Tuesday or a Sunday but never both. There will be spare weeks for cancelled games but we dont want cancelled games every week. It is for cash but also a bit of fun, you can gain experience against some good players or keep your game at a competitive level so if intrested then dont hesitate to get in contact on here or facebook, WhiteHorseBicester. If anymore players are interested i need to know by tomorrow latest thats when registration ends. We nearly have enough for 2 leagues now so a few more would be brilliant.
We will be running a singles league very soon and already have 10 players entered. I know singles leagues have been running before and worked or not this one should, Because we will only be taking a starting fee of £10.
If you miss 2 games you are out, and if you dont play your game by the end of that week that will also count as a mark against you. Strictly no if's no buts. So if you are not commited dont bother. I would arrange fixtures to be played on a Tuesday and Sunday Evening again if you cant make dont bother entering. If you are interested closing date is Monday 21st November, Cash can be sorted later. Best Result of the week will receive Voucher to spend in the pub, But only a stand out result so if there are two 6-0 results then no voucher will be given. Rules as below..............
Singles League Rules:
All games to be played to standard EPA rules.
All group games consist of 6 frames.
All possible results are 6-0, 5-1, 4-2 and 3-3.
Points will be award as follows:
1 point for each frame won.
1 point for a draw.
3 points for a win.
I.E A 6-0 win will result in 9 points.
A 3-3 draw will result in 4 points.
A 2-4 loss will result in 2 points.
Games will need to be played strictly on a Tuesday or a Sunday that week. Two missed games will result in expulsion from the league. ( If you cant make a Tuesday or Sunday please dont sign up)
